Omega-3-Fettsäuren für Babys und Kleinkinder

Eine gezielte Supplementierung von Omega-3-Fettsäuren ist bereits für Babys möglich und absolut empfehlenswert, um:

  • Neurodermitis vorzubeugen oder bestehende Ekzeme zu lindern,
  • einer Allergie-Entstehung vorzubeugen,
  • die Hirn-Entwicklung bestmöglich zu unterstützen.

Ab der Beikost-Reife alle 2 Tage 2,5 ml (1/2 Teelöffel) statt des üblichen Beikost-Öles zu einer (Brei-)Mahlzeit geben.

Hinweis: Studien haben gezeigt, dass die alleinige Gabe von Rapsöl bei vegetarisch oder vegan ernährten Babys oft nicht ausreicht, um die für die optimale Hirnentwicklung benötigten DHA-Mengen (Unterform der Omega-3-Fettsäure) zu erreichen. Eine Supplementierung über Algenöl* ist für diese Kinder anzuraten.
